Tree Cutting in Mt. Argus Park and Road
Please see below and update from Dublin City Parks:
“Dublin City Parks have appointed a tree surgeon to carry out essential tree removals, 4 number, in Mt. Argus Park and Road to happen over the next couple of weeks due to Health and Safety concerns. This work is being carried out following inspection by the Dublin City Council Tree Officer who has found that the trees due for removal have serious fungal disease, cavities, decay and require urgent removal. One tree will be removed completely and three trees will be retained as monoliths – the practice whereby a tree is reduced in height and without branches and left to naturally decay in order to provide habitat for wildlife- birds, bats and insects will live, shelter and feed in and off the timber.
This work will be completed in the next 2-3 weeks.”
Thank you,
Dublin City Council
