Conradh na Gaeilge’s Raidió Rí-Rá Workshop

Tá Conradh na Gaeilge ag teacht go Crois Araild le Raidió Rí-Rá. Beidh ceardlann á heagrú acu do dhéagóirí idir 11-17 mbliana d’aois ar an Satharn, an 14ú lá de mhí Bealtaine, ó 11 r.n. – 12.20 i.n. Má tá spéis agat foghlaim conas mar a chuirtear clár raidió le chéile, bainfidh tú an-taithneamh as seo. Beidh an cheardlann dhá-theangach. Bígí linn!
Raidió Rí-Rá is a radio station which was set up by Conradh na Gaeilge in 2008. It broadcasts through Irish twenty-four hours a day. Its DJ’s are mostly local secondary school and university students. You can listen at www.rrr.ie, through digital radio or through the Raidió Rí-Rá app.
Raidió Rí-Rá will run a workshop at the Festival on Saturday 14th May from 11am-12.20pm (subject to demand, a further workshop will be run from 12.30pm – 2pm)
Details:
- This workshop is best suited to students from 5th class to 4th year.
- The workshop can take up to 15 participants and lasts an hour and twenty minutes.
- You will learn how best to structure a radio show, how to introduce songs and how to brand the station. Useful Irish phrases given on which to base a basic script.
- You will also record a short show, based around current chart songs
- The workshop will be bilingual, depending on the abilities of each group.
- Participants will receive Gaelchártaí (discount card for use in certain shops and restaurants who aim to promote the Irish language)
