Tá Conradh na Gaeilge ag teacht go Crois Araild le Raidió Rí-Rá. Beidh ceardlann á heagrú acu do dhéagóirí idir 11-17 mbliana d’aois ar an Satharn, an 14ú lá de mhí Bealtaine, ó 11 r.n. – 12.20 i.n. Má tá spéis agat foghlaim conas mar a chuirtear clár raidió le chéile, bainfidh tú an-taithneamh as seo. Beidh an cheardlann dhá-theangach. Bígí linn!
Raidió Rí-Rá is a radio station which was set up by Conradh na Gaeilge in 2008. It broadcasts through Irish twenty-four hours a day. Its DJ’s are mostly local secondary school and university students. You can listen at www.rrr.ie, through digital radio or through the Raidió Rí-Rá app.
Raidió Rí-Rá will run a workshop at the Festival on Saturday 14th May from 11am-12.20pm (subject to demand, a further workshop will be run from 12.30pm – 2pm)
Details:
This workshop is best suited to students from 5th class to 4th year.
The workshop can take up to 15 participants and lasts an hour and twenty minutes.
You will learn how best to structure a radio show, how to introduce songs and how to brand the station. Useful Irish phrases given on which to base a basic script.
You will also record a short show, based around current chart songs
The workshop will be bilingual, depending on the abilities of each group.
Participants will receive Gaelchártaí (discount card for use in certain shops and restaurants who aim to promote the Irish language)
There will be a 1916 interactive quiz game based on the role of the Irish language in 1916 and the development of the language since then – prizes and CDs to be won!
