Family Fun in the Park – Saturday the 19th of May

On  Saturday the 19th of May, 2018 between 11 and 5 pm there will be lots of fun for all.

See live nature in action with Wooly Wards in the Park on Saturday. Beat an Irish chess champion. Experience a rope making workshop with Niki Collier and some clay fun with Karo Grudniewska. Football with the Gardaí. Sports demonstrations. Giant ball  fun. Music and Baton Twirlers.

11am – 2 pm Wooly Wards Farm

Come along between 11am and 2pm on Saturday to see live nature in action. Get your hand-on experience with a selection of animals from hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, chicks, goslings, ducks, turkeys, sheep and lambs, goats and pigs, llamas and donkeys.

Dr. Mark Quinn will play chess exhibition matches in Harold’s Cross Park

Niki Collier Workshop from 3-4 pm

Niki Collier is an award winning designer who works in the area of constructed textiles and e-crafting. Her mission is to show the natural balance of technology and art. She tells stories about empowerment. At this year’s festival Niki will run a rope making workshop from 3.00 -4.00 in the Arts and Crafts tent. Clay Workshop with KaroArt 4-5pm  Saturday Harold’s Cross Park

Karo Grudniewska from KaroArt will do  clay creature making workshops in the Park. karoArt is a Dublin based ceramic studio, where beautifully coloured, whimsical pieces are created in a fully handmade process. Karo’s ceramics are full of character, all individually hand-painted and sketched on. Her work is inspired by natural wonders and fairy stories.At this year’s festival Karo will run a clay creature making workshop in the park on Saturday 4.00 -5.00pm. Read More
